Tesco ar
As the popularity of Augmented Reality increases with the bigger brands such as Pepsi and Tesco it’s soon going to end in a battle of AR. The service is getting more and more competitive each day with consumers left wondering who will be next and organisations trying to release the most creative, engaging app to their customers!

Earlier this year Pepsi Max impressed members of the public in London by turning a bus shelter into a impressive Augmented Reality campaign which definitely turned Pepsi Max into a talking point for commuters around New Oxford Street.  A study by Hidden Ltd. showed that the percentage of product purchases after viewing an augmented reality experience is around 74% compared with 45% of those who bought a product after reading a 2D printed display advert. Coca Cola are now bringing Augmented Reality to their brand on the run up to the world cup with collectible mini bottles for World Cup Fans to unite.

In addition to this, we’ve spotted Tesco Direct using Augmented Reality in their recent catalogue, perfect to boost sales of their latest home products. Providing customers with the ability to view 3D versions of products using the Tesco Discover App, as you can see from the photograph above this will definitely boost sales from the app! It took a while for the app to recognise the trigger image but we managed to view the 3D colourful pillows in the end!

So what brand will be using Augmented Reality next?
